Audio Over IP

Getting approval to deploy a new Audio over IP system in your facility is exciting, but it requires a lot of upfront planning and documentation.

In this episode of The Radio Tech Guys Podcast, we’ll explore our procedures for planning IP addressing and channel numbering schemes, as well as give you an Excel spreadsheet template you can use to help plan your deployment. We’ll also talk through how we are combining our IP Audio network with our business LAN using VLAN tagging on Cisco switches. Wine and beer review, a brief look at what these new FM translators could do to the FM band and much more.

We are so excited to be launching this new podcast dedicated to covering all of the technology that drives the radio industry!

We’re Chris Moran and Alex Linger (two radio tech guys, co-workers, and general goofballs), and each week we will spend around 30 minutes diving into the news, products, real-world case studies and your questions surrounding all things radio technology. Industry leading guests will join us along the way as well.

In this week’s “teaser” episode, we take just a few minutes to say hello, and talk a little bit about the show. So check it out, subscribe, and contact us by using the social media icons at the top and bottom of the site.
